Late Sunday night, Tara’s mother Faye grows concerned because Tara is not responding to phone calls. She calls Tara’s neighbors, Joe and Myrtle Portier, but they have not seen Tara. Faye then asks family friend Heath Dykes to go check on her. Dykes is a police officer from the nearby town of Perry.
